As promised, EA has revealed more details about Battlefield 4 including its final release date, list of supported gaming platforms and the final box art. Check it all out after the jump.
EA has confirmed that the next installment in the highly popular online multiplayer shooter series will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 29th in the United States, and on November 1st in the United Kingdom. Next generation consoles – Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – will also get the game “this holiday” which means Battlefield 4 could just be a launch title! That would certainly sell a lot of next generation consoles!
Box art for the Xbox One version of the game has also been released. I find it quite boring, personally, considering how it is basically just a cropped version of concept Battlefield 4 art we all saw many months ago.
What is far more important and interesting though, is the the tasteful use of block dark green color with a simple “XBOX ONE” label at top-center. It looks lovely to me, and it really fits in well with Microsoft’s Modern UI design language.
If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out the full 17 minute gameplay video of Battlefield 4.
