BenQ unveiled its MP3-enabled cameraphone, the Qube Z2, at a press event yesterday. Targeting the music enthusiast segment, the Qube Z2 has a price tag of around NT$ 10,000 (US$ 320).

Available with six equalizer settings, including normal, bass, rock, fashion, jazz and classis, and 3D surrounding sound, the Qube Z2 is designed to appeal users wanting strong MP3 functions, said Scott Huang, general manager, BenQ Taiwan.

The MP3-enabled handset is also equipped with a built-in 1.3-megapixel camera with a 1,280 x 960 SXGA resolution, Huang noted.

The M315 handset, to be launched at the end of this month, will be a Bluetooth-enabled handset, according to Huang. Another new handset, the U700, to be launched soon, will have a built-in 2-megapixel camera, Huang said.
