BenQ launches 7-inch R70 Android tablet device
While BenQ has been rather quiet at this part of the world, the manufacturer is aggressive in its home country of Taiwan. The manufacturer has recently introduced a new member in their line of Android tablet, the R70, which features a 7-inch touchscreen display and runs Android 2.3 mobile operating system.
Following their 10.1-inch R100 tablet, BenQ has launched their 7-inch R70. Weighing 428g, the R70 is powered by Cortex A8 1GHz processor,and features LED backlight LCD touchscreen display (800×600), 2GB storage, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has two built-in speakers, mini USB2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI output (up to 1080p full high definition) and microSD card slot, and comes with 4400mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
The BenQ R70 is retailing now at a suggested retail price of TWD$8,990 (or approximately US$308) and comes bundled with free trial accounts for 5TV audio and video entertainment platform and free on-demand movies.
