BioWare is planning more downloadable content updates for Mass Effect 3, it has been revealed, despite just releasing an extended ending after extensive controversy over the original.

Mike Gamble, producer of the game, let slip that BioWare is not intending to hang up its hat, tweeting: “Would now be a good time to talk about how we're doing more DLC in the future?”

“That was a trick question,” he added in another tweet. “We'll save the future DLC for future chats. Don't worry though…there's much more.”

Details about the new DLC are being kept secret for now, but Gamble's comments suggest we will see more than one update in the future.

You would be forgiven for thinking that the studio would want nothing more to do with the game after the disastrous situation over the disappointing ending, which forced it to release yesterday's Extended Cut free of charge.

The company may already have had plans for future updates, however, or the return to the world to provide more explanation and options for the ending may have gotten the developers' creative juices flowing again, inspiring them to come up with new content.
