Research In Motion (RIM) today debuted the new
BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone in Singapore. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone builds
on the proven BlackBerry® smartphone platform with enhanced communications and
multimedia capabilities, and is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support
tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world.
The BlackBerry Bold smartphone is expected to be available in Singapore from
late September 2008. Pricing and service plans will be announced separately by
RIM’s carrier partners.

Singapore, August 26, 2008 – Research In Motion (RIM) today debuted the new
BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone in Singapore. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone builds
on the proven BlackBerry® smartphone platform with enhanced communications and
multimedia capabilities, and is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support
tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world.

Featuring a premium design with a satin chrome finished trim and leatherette
backplate, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone comes with a next-generation 624 MHz
mobile processor, GPS and Wi-Fi® support. Content is displayed with stunning
definition and clarity on its half-VGA (480×320 resolution at 217 ppi) color LCD
display and BlackBerry customers experience unprecedented performance with
faster Internet browsing, file downloading and video streaming*.
