Budget Performance CPUs From Intel

Pentium 4 631 (3.6GHz), 641 (3.4GHz), 651(3.2GHz) and 661(3GHz) based on Cedarmill cores will be undergoing stepping change from B-1 to C-1 and means support for power management features such as a better HALT state, EIST as well as Thermal Monitor II. CPUID will move from F62 to F64. Samples of the chips using the new cores will be available towards the end of February. There is a low cost dual core processor from Intel coming 12th of February; Pentium D 805 clocked at 2.66GHz and has 2 x 1MB L2 cache and will cost around US$ 150.
