Buffalo is preparing to launch its MiniStation Metro series of portable HDDs in Japan. Measuring 90 x 20 x 134 mm and weighing 240g, the shock resistant Metro portable HDDs have 256-bit AES hardware encryption, support for Apple's Time Machine, built-in USB cable, and feature the “BumperBody shock protection system”. The MiniStation Metro, available in 320Gb, 500Gb and 1Tb variants, come in three colors (Blue Onyx, Pearl White or Ruby Red) and are bundled with Turbo PC and Buffalo Tools software. They can be purchased from authorized resellers, retailers and e-tailers at MSRPs of USD 146 (320Gb), USD 183 (500Gb) and USD 295 (1Tb).
