Buffalo is preparing to release the DVSM-PS58U2/S-BK external DVD writer.


Measuring 142 x 137 x 20mm and weighing 340g, the black slim writer has a slot-in loading mechanism, a USB 2.0 interface, and offers write speeds of up to 8x for DVD-R/+R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R/-RW. The DVSM-PS58U2/S-BK, bundled with CyberLink's InstantBurn 5 and PowerBackup 2, is expected to hit store shelves in Japan in mid-May at a MSRP if USD 122.
