Buffalo Unveils New 2.5" SSD

Buffalo, leading provider of innovative network and storage solutions for the home and business, has launched its SHD-NSU2 series of SSDs. They are built on Indilinx's Barefoot controller and feature a SATA II interface, a USB 2.0 port for external connectivity, MLC NAND flash memory, onboard 64Mb DRAM cache memory, TRIM support and supports transfer rates of up to 175Mb/s read. Available in capacities of 32Gb, 64Gb, 128Gb and 256Gb, the SHD-NSU2 SSDs are bundled with Acronis's TrueImage HD software. They are expected to hit store shelves in Japan by mid April at a MSRP from USD 157 to USD 845.
