Today, Canon Singapore unveiled their latest PIXMA All-in-One (AIO) photo printers and the new PIXMA Black series in a stylish black housing. On top of that, the company also introduced the new PIXMA logo as seen above.
Andrew Koh, Director and General Manager, Consumer Imaging and Information Division, Canon Singapore, says that as of the first half this year, the company’s single function inkjet and the inkjet all-in-one printers both achieved number one marketshare in Singapore, at 59% and 41% respectively.
“Our printers and all-in-ones are popular because of three reasons – the printer design, the printer technology and very good features. Compared to last year, the demand for all-in-ones has increased; our all-in-ones showed a 27% increase year-on-year, which shows that consumers are buying more,” says Koh.
The new PIXMA printers and all-in-ones are showcased at the event including the MP497 which is available now at S$229, while the PIXMA iP4870, MG5270, MG5170 and MP287 will be available late next month. The Canon CanoScan LiDE210 and LiDE110 are also on display and both will be available from mid October.
The PIXMA MG6170 (above pic) and MG8170 All-in-one both feature wireless capability. They feature 3.0- and 3.5-inch tilt LCD displays respectively and back-lit capacitative touch-screen panel. There is also an integrated touch scroll wheel for easy navigation between menus.
With the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint (EPP) application, iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad users can print direct from their mobile device. The app will also be available for Android phone users and even phones on different platforms.
