Singapore, 17 September 2007 – Canon continues to offer exceptional quality to users with the launch of the world’s smallest scanners in its class – the new Canon LiDE90 scanner. Sporting a stylish and an ultra compact exterior, the new CanoScan LiDE 90 scans briskly at approximately only 14 seconds for a 300dpi A4 sized document thereby empowering home or office users to make high quality scans while fitting beautifully in any interior.
“The new LiDE90 scanner reinforces our commitment to technology innovation and design.” says Andrew Koh, Director and General Manager of the Consumer Information & Imaging Division at Canon Singapore. “Beautifully designed and smallest Contact Image Sensor (CIS) scanners, the LiDE90 scanner gives users a quick and affordable fashion to do more and preserve their special moments.”
Delivering high quality enlargements with at 2400 x 4800 dpi, the newly designed drive system also makes it smaller than its predecessor, the CanoScan LiDE 70, and now measures only at 250 x 364 x 40 mm (W x D x H). Offering 48-bit colour depth for exceptional colour accuracy, users can be assured that photos and documents alike will be reproduced in its truest form.
Easy and Convenient
The four configurable EZ buttons on the CanonScan LiDE 90 save time by offering one-touch operation of common scanner tasks, such as scanning, copying, emailing and PDF file creation.
Canon’s patented advanced Z-Lid double-hinge cover also allows users to easily scan pages from thick books and magazines.
A high-speed USB 2.0 interface powers the scanner and provides fast data transfer. Portability of the scanner is also increased as the USB power triggers the scanner anywhere as long as it is connected to a laptop.
Automatic Picture Correction
Canon’s advanced QARE technology automatically corrects flaws such as removing dust and scratches, restoring faded colours and reducing graininess.
The Canon CanoScan LiDE 90 is available from 21 September 2007 at all Canon authorized dealers at a recommended retail price of S$ 169.
