Save those special moments with Canon’s new flagship professional scanner
The new CanoScan 8800F scanner empowers the professional art market with optimal scanning quality and exceptional speed
Singapore, 17 September 2007 – Graphic designers, artists and advanced photographers now get superior scanning quality with the launch of the new CanoScan 8800F professional scanner. With zero warm-up time, the versatile 4600 dpi CanoScan 8800F triumphs over its predecessor with faster scan speeds, taking only seven seconds from power on for an A4 sized 300 dpi scan.
“The CanoScan 8800F is the solution for users looking for superb quality scanning and filing for film and documents”, says Andrew Koh, Director and General Manager, Consumer Imaging and Information Division at Canon Singapore. “Combining superior technologies in a compact and stylish design, the CanoScan 8800F will make archiving of photographs an enjoyable trip down memory lane.”
Quick, Powerful and Easy
The CanoScan 8800F delivers razor sharp resolution for high quality enlargements at 4800 x 9600 dpi resolution, fulfilling the needs of graphic designers and professional photographers. It also offers 48-bit colour depth for exceptional colour accuracy in reprints and proofs.
The seven configurable EZ buttons on the CanonScan 8800F save time by offering one-touch operation of common scanner tasks, such as copying, emailing and PDF file creation.
The addition of the new high-brightness white LED enables the CanoScan 8800F to scan from power on with no warm-up time needed. The white LED lamp also eliminates the need to keep the light lit after scanning, thereby saving energy.
Convenient Film Scanning
For the traditional film enthusiast, the CanoScan 8800F is fully equipped for high quality enlargements from film originals. The built-in Film Adapter Unit accommodates a wide variety of film formats including 35mm (negative/positive), 4 mounted slides and 120 mm format film (max 6x22cm).
Automatic Picture Correction
Canon’s advanced QARE technology automatically corrects flaws such as removing dust and scratches, restoring faded colours and reducing graininess. FARE (Film Auto Retouching Enhancement) Level 3 technology allows for the removal of dust and scratches in film scanning.
The Canon CanoScan 8800F is available from 19 September 2007 at all Canon authorized dealers at a recommended retail price of S$ 319.
