Lenovo’s ThinkVision 28 is a 28-inch 4K monitor that can double as an Android entertainment hub.
With the ThinkVision 28, Lenovo is bringing a 4K monitor that runs Android. The model comes with a screen resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and a pixel density of 157 pixels per inch. The screen has ten point multitouch, and the monitor can be used as a standard monitor for your workstation or as a standalone Android machine thanks to the inclusion of Nvidia’s Tegra 4 processor.
The ThinkVision 28 comes with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, and has three HDMI ports, one DisplayPort 1.2 port, one USB 2.0 and three USB 3.0 ports along with a microSD slot and NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Miracast. It also comes with a built-in Ethernet connector, and can stream content from Android tablets and mobile devices in native 4K resolution.
For those who do not want to use their monitor as an Android hub, Lenovo has launched the ThinkVision Pro2840m. It comes with the same 28-inch 4K screen, but lacks the ability to double as an Android device.
The ThinkVision 28 will be available from July 2014 and will cost $1199. The ThinkVision Pro2840m will launch three months earlier, and will cost $799.
