Cisco Announces 'Cius' Android Tablet

Cisco may be known for networking solutions, but the company also has plans to go into new market - tablet. Yes, the networking giant has announced their new Cisco Cius tablet based on Android platform, though it is targeted at enterprise users.

Cisco Announces 'Cius' Android Tablet

Cisco has announced their 'Cius' business tablet based on the Android platform. The Cisco Cius is designed to provide virtual desktop integration with access to the company's collaboration and communication applications.

Weighing 0.52kg, the tablet offers video streaming and real-time video, multi-party conferencing,  messaging, browsing, and also the capability to produce, edit and share content stored locally or centrally in the cloud.

The Cisco Cius is also equipped with a telephone handset speakerphone, High Definition (HD) DisplayPort and USB ports.

Pricing information is not available yet, but from Cisco, the general availability of the Cisco Cius will be in the first quarter of 2011.
