The Nokia Lumia 1520 is set to feature a design that is similar to that of other devices in the Lumia series, and will feature a 6-inch full-HD screen, the largest to be included on a Windows Phone device so far.  The imminent roll out of Windows Phone GDR3 means that more devices with full-HD screens will soon be making their way onto the platform.

Also featured in GDR3 is a redesigned home screen layout, which was showcased in an earlier leak of the Lumia 1520. GDR3 will also bring new features like Driving Mode, which mutes key features likes texts and calls when the device is connected via Bluetooth to a car. Multitasking has also been enhanced, and there is a screen rotation lock.

On the hardware front, the Lumia 1520 is allegedly going to feature a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of ROM and a micro-SD card slot. The Lumia 1520 has been rumoured to come with a camera that is similar to the one seen on the Lumia 925.

The device will likely be announced by Nokia on September 26th, during which the manufacturer will also showcase the new 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet.
