Two of the most crucial components in any enthusiast PC build are the chassis and cooling system. After all, the last thing you want happen when trying to win an in-game clutch situation for your team is your computer melting or falling into pieces. Cooler Master has grown from strength to strength through the years, delivering high quality and value for money products to both their OEM and retail customers. These offerings include CPU/GPU coolers (little known fact: they design and make most Intel/AMD/Nvidia HSFs), PC enclosures, power supplies and other peripherals across the entire price spectrum. In recent times they have also launched a sub-division known as CM Storm, targeting the needs of the discerning eSports gaming enthusiast.

The Scout 2 is the latest in a line of cases from CM Storm, which previously produced cult hits like the the original Scout and Sniper enclosures. Available in Midnight Black, Gunmetal Grey or Ghost White, the newcomer has, among other niceties, reinforced carrying handles for accident-free transportation between LAN venues and a side panel window to show off the raging inferno that lurks within.

Much like the other mid tower PC cases around today, the Scout 2 features a rear 120mm honeycombed fan exhaust and has its PSU compartment situated at the bottom to accomodate a water cooling radiator at the top. Four rubberized feet keeps the setup tethered to whichever surface it is placed on, and its front cover can be detached via an opening at the base.

At the top, there is the welcome inclusion of a reset button (usually forgotten by case designers these days) along with the power button and lights switch. A sliding panel conceals a bunch of USB and audio ports, which is in keeping with the case's macho yet unpretentious outlook.
