Coby to release several low-cost Android 4 tablets this quarter

Thanks to U.S. based manufacturer and distributer Coby we will soon be seeing a range of inexpensive Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) powered tablets hit the market. There will be five models released within this quarter, ranging from $179 to $300 USD.

Coby to release several low-cost Android 4 tablets this quarter

Starting with the 7-inch MID7042, this is expected to hit the market at $179, sporting a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, multi-touch screen, 1GB RAM, 4GB built-in storage (expandable up to 32GB), front facing camera, WiFi connectivity and HDMI 1080p output.

A step up, we have the 8-inch sized MID8042 model with 4:3 aspect ratio, this otherwise carrying all the same specs as the MID7042.

Next is the 9-inch MID9042 with 8GB built-in storage, then a 9.7-inch MID9742 (4:3 aspect) model, and finally a 10-inch MID1042 topping the lineup at $299.
