The classic Commodore, once loved by many for the it’s legendary Commodore 64, the all-in-one PC in a keyboard during its early days. The company is now back, and soon to be launching the revamped and refreshed version of the legend.
The Commodore spots a sleek, anodized aluminium shell, instead of the classic beige. Physical size of it stands at about 17.5 inches wide, 2 inches tall, taking up less room and touted as the low energy PC category.
The Commodore also spot several I/Os, including 4 USB ports, PS/2 ports, and even the legacy ports such as COM and printer ports. Commodore also allows connection of up to 2 monitors throught its VGA and DVI ports. It even has gigabit LAN port.
At the side, the new Commodore even features a DVD writer, something that even the old classic doesn’t have.
If the external design doesn’t blow you away, the innards is even more attractive, powered by Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad processor, Intel G31 Express Chipset, and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100, it’s like power packed into a keyboard. New Commodore also have room for 3.5″ HDD, and comes with any OS of your choice (*Mac OS X Snow Leopard not supported and must be customer installed).
The new Commodore is due to be out in Spring 2010. Price is still unknown at this time.
