Following the success of LG Chocolate and LG Shine that sold over 25 million units globally, the third model from the LG Black Label Series was developed to satisfy the tastes of trendsetters who desire a sophisticated design with an enduring elegance. The name Secret symbolizes a slender and stylish handset that does not compromise benefits and convenience of smart, digital technology. The meaning of the product name, ‘LG Secret’, is to tantalize the user with the intrinsic features of the phone and engage in a continual process of exploring the inner workings of the handset that will never go out of style.

With to the success of LG Chocolate and LG Shine from the LG Black Label Series in Asia-Pacific, LG’s brand awareness in the region enhanced tremendously in the last two years. In 2007, it was increased by 153% in Thailand whereas 50% more consumers in Singapore recognized LG compared to the previous year. Already with the resounding approval of LG Black Label Series from consumers in the Asia Pacific, LG Secret is set to elevate LG even further in its quest to become a top-tier mobile brand in the region.

In a succession of launches around the globe, LG Secret first launched in Europe on April 24th, 2008 in London followed by Latin America on June 12th, 2008 in Sao Paolo. LG Secret has hit the European market by storm selling over 200,000 handsets in the first two weeks.

The third LG Black Label Series handset is now in Asia Pacific and will be available in most countries in Asia starting in Singapore followed by India, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines by the end of July 2008.
