CommunicAsia 2010 looks to be less crowded year after year, with major names like Microsoft, Yahoo, Sony Ericsson and LG no longer participating at the show. However, some companies including Skype is making quite a presence at the CommunicAsia.

The Skype booth is at Hall 4 (close to Hall 3) and the company has announced the availability of their software on Sony Ericsson Symbian smartphones including the Satio, Vivaz and Vivaz pro. On top of that, Skype is also available on Viera HDTV service; the software upgrade and Panasonic’s new communication camera for video calls, will be available from 21 June in Singapore.

BlackBerry had earlier announced their new BlackBerry OS 6 and Bold 9800 slider phone. But they are not available until Q3 this year. But the company has a booth at CommunicAsia, showcasing their current offerings.
