The CommunicAsia2012, EnterpriseIT2012 and BroadcastAsia2012 are back, at Marina Bay Sands and Suntec Convention Centre from 19 to 22 June. At the press conference this morning, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) and Huawei shared some key highlights and statistics for the show.
Agnes Leung, senior project manager for CommunicAsia, gave some statistics about the annual information and communications technology (ICT) exhibition and conference that is held in Singapore – with close to 2,000 local and international exhibitorsand 200 expert speakers at the CommunicAsia2012 Summit. The wide range of technologies that will be showcased include 3.5G/LTE/4G, Display Technologies, IPTV, Mobile Media and Advertising, Mobile Innovations, IP-enabled and NextGen Services and Applications, Near Field Communications, Wireless Technologies and Satellite Communications.
Some of the event highlights include the worldwide launch of Winmate Communication E-430M; Zensorium Tinke, a dongle that can measure heart rate, respiratory rate and the amount of oxygen in one's bloodstream – first in Asia; soft launch of Panasonic "rugged" Tablet; worldwide launch of ThinkCube Cronus, an open source cloud computing solution; Taztag TazPad, the world's first Android tablet with NFC and Zigbee technology, fingerprint sensor and Secure Element; Senko "Connected Home"; and Vidyo VidyoPanorama that offers immersive video conferencing – first in Asia.
Chinese Telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei will have a huge presence at CommunicAsia2012 with the launch of their new Ascend series smartphones. Last year, Nokia has a presence at CommunicAsia2011, but it looks like the Finnish company will not be participating this year; neither is Korean electronics manufacturers Samsung or LG.
There is also a new Mobile Monday (MM) Developer Lounge at CommunicAsia2012 whereby experts get to share their views on unique opportunities in various Asian markets. There will also be the launch of the first ever Mobile Southeast Asia Report that highlights the unique strengths of Southeast Asia in mobile arenas. The theme for CommunicAsia2012 Summit is "Strategies to a connected world", and there will be 14 tracks, two workshops, more than 170 sessions and over 200 speakers including Jolin Aliza Knox, managing director of Commerce for Google APAC, and Ambassador David A.Gross – Wiley Rein LLP.
