Intel X79

First, let's take a look at some Intel X79 motherboards. It will be some time before X79 is released – and therefore also quite likely that changes will be made to the boards you see here.

Intel Z68

ASRock has collaborated with professional gamer Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel to create the Z68 Professional. Rather curiously, this motherboard features an old-school IDE connector which was apparently added at Fatal1ty's request.

Over at Zotac is probably the world's first mini-ITX Z68 motherboard. One variant (bottom) includes an onboard Nvidia GeForce GT430, making a total of four (!) onboard display outputs (HDMI + DP + 2 x DVI).

Over at Asus' booth, the ROG Crosshair V and Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboards are on show.

The Crosshair V setup is using a 4-way SLI bridge and the ROG Xpander to accomodate four dual-slot GPUs.
