Asustor is looking to gain a more significant market share with its current NAS offerings.
Whether you’re a home user or an SMB looking to manage all your data form a single location, Asustor’s products are ideally suited to serve your needs. The NAS vendor is differentiating itself by offering Intel’s Atom line of processors and additional RAM slots that allow you to extend the memory of your NAS unit.
With an industrial design scheme that provides great ventilation and individual drive indicators along with an LCD readout that is user configurable, Asustor’s eight-bay AS-608T is geared at the SOHO user. If you do not require eight bays, the vendor also has six, four and two-bay solutions that feature a similar design and feature-set that is offered by the AS-608T.
In addition to the hardware, Asustor offers a web-based administration console that allows you to manage and control various facets of the NAS from a single location. There are also mobile clients for iOS and Android devices through which you can remotely connect to your NAS.
We’ll be taking a detailed look at all the features and functionality offered by Asustor’s NAS units in an upcoming review. In the meantime, check out photos from Asustor’s booth:
