Researchers Suresh Garimella and Tannaz Harirchia at Purdue University reportedly have  “developed and tested new mathematical formulas concerning the properties of boiling liquids in “micro-channels.”” Representing a breakthrough in micro-channel cooling technology, this may totally change how cooling systems are designed in everything from computers to electric and hybrid cars. If micro-channel cooling technology does take off, will we be seeing micro-channel heat sinks or fluid filled chips in the not too distant future?
