Are you in a market for a PC case but are tired of typical tower designs? Today we are having a look at the latest cubic case from Corsair, the Carbide Air 540.

CCA54003 300x275 Corsair Carbide Air 540 Case Review

The Corsair Carbide Air 540

It is very interesting to see how strongly Corsair, a company which have started off as a RAM manufacturer, has been expanding into other segments of the market. Today Corsair is already one of the most well-known manufacturers of power supplies, computer cases and SSDs, with a great number of products available. As far as computer cases are concerned, Corsair currently produces and markets at least 21 different products, divided into four series. However, the case which we will be reviewing today, the Carbide series Air 540, marks a whole new approach, as it is Corsair’s first cubic case.

Clearly not a conventional design, the cube-like shape of the Carbide Air 540 is supposed to have multiple advantages, including higher thermal performance, better ergonomic and, obviously, an unusual appearance. Corsair is clearly aiming towards modders, enthusiasts and advanced users who would like something much different than a classic PC case. In this review we will closely examine the design, ergonomics and performance of the Carbide Air 540, which, hopefully, will be at least on par with equally priced tower cases.
