Samsung may have their Galaxy Tab tablets banned in various places due to patent infringements, but this has not stopped the South Korean tech giant from developing a tablet that will have a 2560 x 1600 retina-like resolution.

If you’re tired of the Apple vs. Samsung patent brawl, and don’t follow the court proceedings anymore, here’s a bit of interesting news that may draw you right back in.  According to one of the court documents, Samsung is readying a high-resolution display tablet that matches Apple’s new iPad.

The tablet, codenamed “P10", will have LTE connectivity, and a 11.8’’ 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) display.  Considering Samsung’s display manufacturing prowess, it’s no surprise that the South Korean tablet maker has the capacity to introduce a tablet with a resolution that is on par with the new iPad.

Quite frankly speaking, Apple can’t patent display resolutions, and unless Samsung calls its upcoming high-res tablet “Tab 11.8 with Retina” and makes it look like an iPad, Samsung’s next tablet may be a true iPad-killer.
