CPU cooling in tight spaces – Noctua NH-L9(i/a) and Phanteks TC90LS

Both the NH-L9i and the NH-L9a share the same packaging; a thin, lustrous cardboard box with a very serious artwork theme. The basic specifications and features of each cooler are printed on the box.

Inside the box we found the coolers and the bundled items secured inside precisely cut foam packaging. The packaging appears not only very secure but highly luxurious as well.

There are few differences between the bundles of both coolers. Both coolers come with a leaflet with installation instructions, a fan speed reducer cable, installation screws, screws for 25mm fans, a metallic case sticker and a syringe with a few gr of NT-H1 thermal grease. The only notable difference is that the NH-L9a includes an installation backplate, which the NH-L9i does not require.
