If you are thinking of coding your very own Android app for the smartphones, yet unsure how to go about doing it, you can check out this App Inventor for Android. Even non tech-savvy users can code simple apps such as whack-a-mole. Read on.

Create Your Own Google Android App

Google has a new App Inventor for Android that allows users to build their app even if they aren't experienced with coding. It allows users to visually design applications and use blocks to specify application logic easily. Examples include the use of GPS-location sensor to build location aware apps whereby the app lets you check on your phone where your car is parked.

With the growing number of Android phones on the market, the move aims to help groom more app creators and add more apps to the Android market. Needless to say, the App Inventor only works for Android-enabled smartphones.

The free Google App Inventor for Android is downloadable from http://appinventor.googlelabs.com/ , though you need to sign-up with a Google Gmail account.
