Creative X-Fi Launch In Mid August

Creative X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity audio processor is going to be launched in mid August, possibly during Quakecon 2005. It will be the most advanced and most powerful sound chip ever built. Gamers will definitely love this. It has far more transistors than a Pentium 4 Willamette with over 51M transistors. Xtreme Fidelity supports 24-bit quality, > 110db SNR and the new Creative Multi Speaker Surround 3D headphone and surround speaker technology. The X-Fi features EAX ADVANCED HD 5.0 with 128 voice support, EAX MacroFX, EAX PurePath & Environment FlexiFX as well as 24-bit Crystalizer that converts the gaming audio into 24-bit quality. We heard that Creative will be implementing Xtreme Fidelity technology into their MP3 players making the sound playback better than the original. It could be the key feature to position their MP3 players better against the popular iPod. Production of the X-Fi cards will start in August.
