Today, Creative Technology Singapore had officially launched 2 players from
their strong line up of Media Players. The Creative Zen Vision comes with a
large 3.7" high resolution screen, that allows for video playback. Having a
resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, this screen could display up to 262,144 colors,
great for digital photograph viewing, and video playback.

Functions like FM Radio, FM Radio recording, Voice recording is not forgotten
on this player.  This 30GB player comes with a plethora of functions like
direct photo transfers from Compact Flash cards, high sound quality of 97dB for
Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Also, this player could double up as a basic
organizer, with various functions like Address Book, Contacts, Alarm, and even
Microsoft Outlook synchronization capabilities. One of the highlights of this
player is that could read many of today’s video formats, like DivX, Xvid, MJPEG,
and the usual MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 formats. To top it off, this player could last
for 4.5 hours of continuous video playback, and weights light at 8.4 ounces
(approx. 238.56g).

During the conference, we learnt that Creative has shifts their focus onto
the media and video market. With hook ups together with content providers like
Yahoo Music, and SoundBuzz, users would not need to worry about running out of
content to play on their players. Especially with Yahoo’s music service, users
could buy MTVs online, and play it on these new portable media players.

This Zen Vision will go on sale, on Singapore’s upcoming Computer show, Comex
2005, and will be priced at SGD$ 799.
