Crucial V4 series consists of four models, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. The drives are built in the 2.5-inch form-factor, with SATA 3 Gb/s interface. The drives offer read speeds of up to 230 MB/s, with up to 190 MB/s writes, figures that closely resemble those of the Crucial M225 series from 2009. The drives give Crucial's parent company and memory giant Micron Technology a chance to clear inventories of 25 nm MLC NAND flash chips.

On the bright side of things, though, Crucial V4 series SSDs come with some of the lowest launch-prices ever for consumer SSDs. The 32 GB model sells for US $49.99, the 64 GB model for $69.99, 128 GB model for $99.99 ($0.78 per GB), and 256 GB for $189.99 ($0.74 per GB). The drives are backed by 3-year warranties.
