Electronic Arts and Microsoft have announced that a Crysis 2 Demo exclusive to Xbox 360 gamers will be released on 25 January 2011.
The demo will be multiplayer only, featuring only one map called Skyline, and two game modes. The first, Crash Site, has two teams earning points by protecting crashed alien ships. The other mode is the good old fashioned team deathmatch which is an all-time favourite.
The multiplayer demo will be released on 25 January. However, EA hasn’t specified if or when the demo will end.
EA has also announced the bonuses that customers who pre-order the game – a limited edition of the game which includes a camouflaged assault rifle and early access to the Holo Decoy weapon attachment; the Holo Decoy weapon attachment is supposed to distract enemies with a holographic decoy of the player. In addition, they will also get access to bonus XP boost that will help level up in multiplayer mode faster than those who buy the regular edition of Crysis 2.
It will be very interesting to see how the Xbox 360 will handle the second installment of the game, notorious for being brutally hard for PCs to handle when it was first released in 2007. Crysis 2 is set for a 25 March release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
