CyanogenMod 10.1 final releases today, download links go live [UPDATE – Live]

After months of development, the CyanogenMod team announced the completion of their most ambitions CM10.1 project running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Download links will be live towards the end of the day.

CyanogenMod is hands-down the most popular 3rd party custom ROM for any Android phone (that is officially supported by the team). With numerous officially supported devices and an equal number of unofficial ports made by our favorite developers over at XDA Forums, the CM team officially announced the completion of development of CM10.1 which runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, Google’s latest Android OS version. So what’s next? Hear it from the CyanogenMod team:

With the 10.1.0 code finalized, we will return to our M-release cycle and work towards adding additional functionality and features; including the new Privacy Guard feature, which was merged into the nightlies today.

The ‘Privacy Guard’ feature being talked about here is basically an ingenious implementation of the popular ‘Incognito’ mode which doesn’t allow your apps to access your personal data (as you would already know, apps do that very often). While the download links for many devices are hot, many others will be added as the day progresses. To check if your device has received the CM10.1 final release already, check the link posted below.
