The second half of 2013 is already shaping up to be extremely exciting for the Chinese budget-conscious/mobile speed-addicted folk, given what Xiaomi and ZTE are rumored to bring to the market for prices of $350 or less, but you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Dakele, a more modest OEM that’s been flying under our radar for the past couple of years or so, is reportedly planning to step things up a notch… or two, and launch a phone to give both Xiaomi and ZTE a run for their money.
The Dakele 3 (told you the company’s been around for a while) should see daylight sometime in October and cost 1,999 Yuan ($323). For that money, you’ll apparently get top-notch tech specs all around, starting off with a crisp and comfy 5.5-inch Full HD screen.
A mighty 4,000 mAh battery will make sure you don’t run out of juice after just a few hours of use, but Dakele is yet to choose the make and model of the phone’s CPU. The choice will be made between Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 and Nvidia’s Tegra 4 quad-core chips, so whatever the final decision may be, you should expect mind-blowing heat out of this baby.
That’s pretty much everything we know in regards to the supposed Dakele 3 handheld. Oh, there’s a photo as well, but it shouldn’t be taken very seriously since it’s likely a “coulda, shoulda” type of render.
Regardless of that, I think we have enough to call Dakele a future heavyweight contender. Be afraid, Xiaomi, ZTE, be very afraid!
