Deep Silver's newly released trailer for Ride to Hell: Retribution sets the gritty tone for the upcoming biker-themed game with an emphasis on revenge and overall badassery. The trailer chronicles the game's storyline and also reinforces the title's overall tough-and-rumble flair, showcasing a few of the in-game features and mechanics.

Ride to Hell: Retribution follows Jake Conway, a tough-as-nails biker, who's intent on delivering his own brand of ruthless justice to a merciless motorcycle gang known as The Devil's Hand. Jake plans on using any means necessary to exact his revenge–whether by fist, shotgun, or on the wheels of his custom hog, Jake is determined to bring The Devil's Hand down.

"Ride to Hell: Retribution is a no holds barred brawler set in the tumultuous age of the 1960’s. A lone rider, Jake Conway, is locked in a battle to the death against a ruthless gang of bikers called The Devil’s Hand.

Jake will employ any means necessary to enact his vengeance: weaponizing his environment, using hand-to-hand combat on foot, and battling it out in high-speed shootouts on Jake's custom hog."

The promotional imagery and concept art paint Ride to Hell: Retribution as a mix between Easy Ride and Sons of Anarchy, making use of many oft-used characterizations of rough bikers and their frontier-like lifestyle: wars against rival motorcycle gangs, steely resilience, and all the other themes associated with bikers.

The trailer depicts that distinct style while also giving players a glimpse at actual gameplay footage of Ride to Hell: Redemption, and also fleshes out the main character Jake Conway. The game itself looks to be peppered with a unique style and its fair share of action, and it will be interesting to see what sorts of mechanics that Deep Silver utilizes with the upcoming game–maybe some light RPG-style skills, or even customizable weapons and choppers.

Ride to Hell: Retribution is slated for a release in June 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. For more information please visit the game's official website.
