The Dell Streal Pro GS01 will be available for purchase outright at a retail cost of ¥54,800 (about 680 USD / 510 EUR), or at a much lower price on various plans. The phone packs a dual-core processor at 1.5GHz with 8GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and the addition of a microSD card slot allowing for further storage expansion (up to 32GB). Its display is 4.3-inches in size, of OLED capacitive-type supporting a resolution of 960 x 540.

Camera wise, the phone has an 8MP shooter on the rear with autofocus, LED flash and HD video recording, while on the front is a 1.3MP camera used for video calls.

Including the battery, the phone weighs in at about 145g with the battery (of which is rated to provide up to 280 hours of standby time and 6 hours of talk time). Dimensions come in at 125.9 x 64.5 x 10.3mm.

Initially the phone will arrive only in black, but if it's popular enough there's always the chance of other color schemes (with bright and vivid coloring being applauded by the Japanese in particular) coming to market later on.

Dell is shipping the phone with a now stale piece of Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and we're yet to find out if the company plans to upgrade the Streak Pro GS01 to the much more appetising Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
