Some details have leaked out on Treyarch's upcoming sequel to Call of Duty Black Ops giving us a supposed launch date and some juicy info on a new game mode and more.

Black Ops 2 will apparently be arriving on November 6th following one of the biggest advertising campaigns Activision will have ran to date with an absolute bucketload of coin thrown into this blockbuster multiplayer FPS sequel.

A new game mode dubbed "Escort" will be making an entry into Black Ops 2 with both "Drop Zone" and "Kill Confirmed" also making their return. Two modes are rumoured to get dropped however, Team Defender and Infected. There will be 15 prestiges in 50 ranks offered in the game, with every two prestiges giving a 5 rank increase and a max prestige level cap of 90.

Black Ops 2 will include Call of Duty Elite 2.0 support with Clan Tournament access, while its map structure will follow the tradition of Black ops in both size and design. There will be a heavier emphasis on "hardcore" mode this time around which should get a solid thumbs up from many of the players who have been expressing their desire for it.

These won't be the only improvements to Black Ops 2 – the single player campaign is expected to be far improved. Activision is anticipating BO2 to be the most successful in sales numbers of all the COD titles to date. Certainly with many people agreeing that Black Ops was a better game than Modern Warfare 3, this already puts the sequel in a good light leading up to its release.
