New reports have surfaced of a new BlackBerry flagship phone. Unfortunately I’m not so sure anybody but loyal BlackBerry users are paying much attention, but if you’re one of those people then rejoice.
CNET is reporting that BlackBerry will be launching their next “all touch screen” flagship phone later this year. The device is currently being called the A10 and will apparently feature a new high quality design. It looks like BlackBerry is looking to re-up its flagship device in order to compete with the recently released Galaxy S4 and soon to be released iPhone 5S.
Rumored specs for the BlackBerry A10 currently look something like this:
- 4.65” super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution
- 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor
- 2GB RAM
- 3000 mAh battery
These specs would actually be pretty impressive if they become reality, especially that hefty battery which is something modern day smartphones desperately need. CNET notes that BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins may have teased this device in the past when he said “There’s one new product I’m excited about, but I can’t really share it,”.
Wouldn’t be too unreasonable to put 2 and 2 together here. The phone is expected to be out for the holidays, so if you’re one of those people whose interest piques at the sight of BlackBerry news, stay tuned.
