The creators of Assassin's Creed 4 discuss the game and what the Playstation 4 will allow them to accomplish that they weren't able to do before. All this in video form!
With the unveiling of the latest entry in the popular Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, came the news that it would be a cross generation title. What this means is that not only would the title release on the current generation of consoles (PS3, 360, etc…) but also on the next-generation of gaming machines, which of course includes the PlayStation 4.
There has been a lot to say about Sony’s latest console but the main attraction seems to be the way it was designed to give developers all the tools they would need to create the games they want to create with as little compromise as possible. I don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t surprised when Sony unveiled that the console would sport 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, which is a fancy way of saying a lot of really fast memory.
It has been things like that which has excited developers in recent months, and below you can catch a video of the developers of Assassin’s Creed discussing the game, and what the PS4 will enable them to accomplish in comparison to the current generation.
The excitement for the next-generation of gaming is reaching a fever pitch with gamers everywhere, and it’s nice to see that developers are excited as well by the possibilities of better technology and the ability to push through any boundaries they might have had in the past.
Watch the video and let the creators of the game explain it for themselves.
