Blizzard’s Diablo III is now available for consoles starting today. A major difference in the console version from its PC counterpart is the inclusion of an offline mode.

Diablo III is now available for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The game can be bought from various game retailers online and is also available in select retail stores. A Diablo III console bundle is also available for both the Xbox and PS3 from Amazon. The Xbox 360 version of the game is at #10 in the list of best-selling games for the console, while the PS3 variant is at #13. It is number one in the list of role-playing games.

The console version of the game is different from the one available on Windows in that it has an offline mode. Furthermore, the inventory, character, and quests pages are all combined under a single menu which is accessible via the select button on the PS3 version, and the back button on the Xbox version. The console versions will not be able to connect to the servers, and will instead use the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The game also features re-worked boss battles.

Both console versions were developed in-house by Blizzard.
