Titanfall for the Xbox One has been a huge success, but users waiting to get their hands on the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall have to wait a while longer.

Titanfall EA secures rights to ‘Titanfall’ sequel, won’t be exclusive to Microsoft

EA has secured rights to Titanfall’s sequel thanks to the strong sales numbers of the game. While overall sales numbers of the game will be available at the end of the month, the launch of Titanfall in the UK saw an overwhelming 96 percent increase in Xbox One hardware sales. The Xbox One Titanfall bundle accounted for 70 percent of all Xbox One consoles sold in the UK last week.

There isn’t official confirmation from EA regarding the same, but an insider source mentioned yesterday that the Titanfall 2 deal was finalized. Also mentioned is the fact that the sequel to Titanfall will not be exclusive to Microsoft platforms, which means that it will likely be available for Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

While a Titanfall sequel is great news, fans eagerly waiting for the game’s launch for the Xbox 360 will have to wait a while longer, as EA announced that the game will be delayed until April 11. Titanfall was set to launch simultaneously on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, but the launch window was pushed back two weeks for the Xbox 360 version. This was done to allow Bluepoint Games time to add finishing touches to the game. Now it looks like the game has been pushed back another two weeks and will launch almost a month after the Xbox One version made its debut.
