Elecom Japan announced their recent innovation in SSD – nanoSSD. Small and handy, the SSD sits right on your SATA port of your motherboard.

Yup, just plug-it-in and you are all ready to boot up your board. Of course, doing so will block other ports right beside it.

Yup, just plug-it-in and you are all ready to boot up your board. Of course, doing so will block other ports right beside it.

Available in both 8 and 16GB, the reading and writing speed are 75MB/s (Read) and 30MB/s (Write), weighing only 8g and a 25×6.5x39mm size.

Prices are not announced yet and will be retailing in Japan a few weeks later.
