Emails went missing in Windows Live Hotmail

2011 has only arrived for two days and it has caused quite a stir in the technology space. First it was the Apple iPhone's alarm malfunction that has caused inconvenience to users worldwide who need to work on the first day of the new year. And now this "Y2K11" bug may be responsible for some lost emails in Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail.

Many Hotmail account users have posted complaints on Microsoft forums complaining that their e-mails have been deleted. A Microsoft spokesperson has said that the issue of missing e-mails isn't a widespread problem and that the company is working to rectify the issue as we speak.
