After nVIDIA released nForce4 SLI chipset , it caused a huge disturbance in
the gaming world by bringing to the table possibilities for dual VGA card gaming
systems. EPoX has now launched the worlds first SLI mainboard, EP-8NPA SLI, with
754 Sempron CPU support which satisfies the needs of the mainstream market.
The reason that EPoX bravely challenges the Dual VGA 754 platform is because
nVIDIA officially published a SLI driver(Driver77.76) without the need for a
bridge card, which means the birth of lower price SLI gaming platform by virtue
of the use of cheaper cards that do not require the bridge. For the gamers with
limited budgets to save on the upgrade cost, they can also enjoy the fascinating
3D gaming experience from SLI with 754 Sempron CPU rather than the expensive
Athlon 64CPU.. EPoX EP-8NPA SLI features ultimate BIOS overclocking
functions on 754 CPU to satisfy the overclockers every need. CPU frequency can
be adjusted up to 400MHz, memory frequency is up to 250MHz base frequency
(supports DDR500 at standard HTT), and also supports CPU, memory and chipset
Vcore fine tuning.

7+2>9+1? 754 SLI MB + 6600 VGA*2 > 939 MB +6600 VGA*1

In the testing of 8NPA SLI, we used the same setups to compare with the 939
platform in 3D performance. We realized that the result wont have much
difference. No matter whether its 939 or 754 (Figure 1), the increase or
decrease of CPU speed (Figure 2) wont affect the 3D performance too much.
Especially when we use 939 nForce4 mainboard + Athlon3400+ CPU + 6600GT VGA card
to compare with 754 SLI mainboard + Sempron2800+ CPU + 6600GT VGA card x2. In
this situation the component costs are comparable, but the 3D benchmark results
obtained from 8NPA SLI is far greater than the 939 platform (Figure 3). 939
platform cannot compete in terms of the cost / performance ratio with 8NPA SLI.

754 Athlon 3D gamer and users best upgrading item

In the SLI mainboard market , most of the consumers are tending to buy a 939
mainboard plus a 6600TD or GT VGA card. EPoX 754 SLI mainboard, 8NPA SLI,
provides the opportunity of saving on the cost of the CPU to be able to upgrade
the VGA card for better 3D performance . For those budget 754 Sempron users,
owning an SLI system is not only a dream, it’s an EpoX reality. This is the
ultimate solution for them enabling them to experience SLI magic. For those
users who already own 754 Athlon CPU, they can switch to enjoying SLI without
buying another CPU, saving the cost for future upgrade use. EPoX EP-8NPA SLI is
the so called the lord of 754 platform.

Ultimate BIOS overclocking feature for EP-8NPA SLI

939 CPU is most overclockers favorite, and lots of them dont know AMDs Sempron
2500+ excellent overclocking ability has raised a new wave of discussion and
supporters on the internet. EPoX EP-8NPA SLI features ultimate BIOS overclocking
functions on 754 CPU to satisfy the overclockers every need. CPU frequency can
be adjusted up to 400MHz, memory frequency is up to 250MHz base frequcncy
(supports DDR500 at standard HTT), and also supports CPU, memory and chipset
Vcore fine tuning.

On this mainboard, besides the standard specification of nForce4 SLI, the
most important thing is that this is the first 754 mainboard to support SATA II
and nV RAID. Not only this, with EPoX special hardware features, a tremendous
creative idea for LED debug system called LEDION is also incorporated. It helps
to debug when not being able to boot the CPU / AGP/ DIMM slot. Another user
friendly feature, EZ Button, helps power users to have great experience to
switch on the board without any other cable and directly power on the board by
button. Plus Thunder Probe, a hardware monitoring software to help users to auto
detect voltage, temperature and speed of a variety of hardware; Smart Fan , an
intelligent fan speed controller to reduce fan noise; And also with Ghost
Monitor, a separate semi-transparent window for users to monitor the status of
the system with ease. Bundling with those features, we believe EP-8NPA SLI is a
revolution in theAMD 754 platform.
