3diphone00 Evergreens new iPhone accessory lets you dive into the 3D realm

Evergreen introduces the DN-84426 3D Movie Viewer, a peculiar looking accessory for the iPhone 4, 4S and 5 that lets you view 3D images and video in their full three dimensional glory.

If there was any tech today that seems to be very slow to progress, that would have to be 3D screen tech. We know, it may not really be a necessity, but it sure is a good option to have, especially if something like Evergreen's new product could put such functionality in a widely used mobile unit like the iPhone.

The DN-84426 3D Movie Viewer is a strange looking accessory that is used to provide your iPhone 4, 4S or 5 with the capability to view compatible images and movies in its full 3D format. As plainly seen, the unit looks awfully a lot like a pair of binoculars, at least when viewed on certain angles. If you want to watch for instance, a 3D video on Youtube, you may just slap on the accessory to your iPhone and start watching it in three dimensions through its eyepiece. There's a slight catch though; we just can't guarantee how you would look like in public if you were to, say, watch a 3D movie with it while sipping coffee outdoors.

Regardless of its usage aesthetics (compared to something like the i3DG) however, as long as you watch the appropriate 3D video, it is claimed to be capable of delivering you a reasonable 3D experience. Technical specifications state that the unit is partially made up of ABS resin, has a size dimension of 150 x 135 x 70 mm, and weighs 140 grams. It is currently available in Japan for 3,000 yen (32 USD).
