With the theme for this year revolving around SuperSpeed USB 3.0, EVGA has refreshed their motherboard lineup to suit this emerging trend. There have been some other adjustments too.

A little bit of motherboard porn here; the EVGA X58 FTW3 on the left, the EVGA X58 SLI3 in the middle, and the EVGA X58 Classified3 on the right.

Let us take a quick look at the new EVGA X58 FTW3. The X58 FTW3 is essentially a refreshed X58 SLI motherboard.

PWM circuitry remains unchanged from the original X58 SLI motherboard; 8-phase CPU and 2-phase uncore.

The heatsinks on the X58 FTW3 are different from those on the X58 SLI though.

Notice the connector between the red CMOS reset button and the two blue USB 3.0 ports? That is for the EVBot handheld overclocking device.

While the eSATA port has been dropped, and the S/PDIF and TOSLINK outputs have been sacrificed for the EVBot connector, all the other I/O ports remain unchanged.
