EVGA is preparing to launch a new high-end motherboard at CES 2010 next week, targeting hardcore overclockers and enthusiasts. Details are scarce for now but first looks indicate that the new LGA
1366 motherboard is based on Intel’s 5500 “Tylersburg” chipset with
ICH10R southbridge, with possible support the Xeon 5500 series. It is likely
that a high-end CPU, capable of dual-sockets setup, will be released by
Intel in the near future. The board also features six DDR3 DIMM per
socket (total of twelve memory slots) and 8-phase digital PWM circuit.
Stay tuned for more updates as more information is made available
during CES 2010.
