EVGA has announced the next generation of its highly-acclaimed SuperNOVA power supply line, the new SuperNOVA G3. The new power supplies carry over all the best features of the award-winning G2 lineup, bringing improved performance and a new Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan for ultra-quiet performance with an increased lifespan. The new SuperNOVA G3 models are also smaller than their predecessor, which is another plus.
Boasting of a fully modular design, the new SuperNOVA G3 power supplies are only 150mm long, making them some of the smallest PSUs on the market currently. The 80 Plus Gold certified power supplies are claimed to deliver “next-generation performance” with 91% efficiency and lower ripple. The combination of new Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan and the EVGA ECO mode means the new SuperNOVA G3 power supplies can operate completely silent during low to medium loads.
The fully modular design lets you use only the cables that you need, eliminating unnecessary cable clutter and also helping improve airflow inside the case. EVGA is also using highest quality Japanese brand capacitors inside the SuperNOVA G3 line, which ensure long-term reliability. Other key highlights including a whole suite of heavy-duty protections such as OVP (Over Voltage Protection, UVP (Under Voltage Protection), OCP (Over Current Protection), OPP (Over Power Protection), SCP (Short Circuit Protection), and OTP (Over Temperature Protection).
The SuperNOVA G3 line will be available in 550W, 650W, 750W, 850W, and 1000W models. EVGA is offering world leading 10-year warranty on the 1000W, 850W, and 750W models, while the 65oW and 550W models come backed by a 7-year warranty.
Unfortunately, EVGA hasn’t announced any pricing info just yet.
