[EXCLUSIVE] Sony Xperia ZU to launch with Android 4.2.2, new UI in tow
With the rumored announcement of the Xperia ZU (U for Ultra) aka Togari phablet just round the corner (June 25), our sources have fed us with some fresh insider info. To know more, read on.
Sony has established a reputation of building some of the most beautiful phones (and other devices for that matter). Not only that, the well thought of TimeScape UI was ahead of its time (and also unbearably laggy) when it debuted 2 years ago. While the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update brought a fresh new UI to all fortunate phones (Xperia S owners, this one’s aimed at you), users still felt that there was too much of 2011-2012 and not much of 2013 elements in the new UI. The elements were simply not charming anymore, aged and worn out. Thankfully, features like a new lock screen, SocialLife (buggy again), STAMINA Mode and new Small Apps took our minds off the bigger picture for a little while, but for how long?
Present Sony Xperia Z Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean UI
Well, here’s some good news for you guys. Our sources have tipped us with exclusive insider info. First being that the Xperia ZU Togari phablet will launch with the latest version of Android OS, that being Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The second part of the news really made my face light up, Sony will introduce a new UI with the next Android update. Now we don’t have any further info related to the UI or how it will look, but really, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best. The company hasn’t disappointed us many times now have they?
