The Facebook app for iPad has been updated. It finally brings the ability for users to edit posts straight from their tablets.
Almost a month back, the Facebook app for iPhone and iPod touch was updated. The update came out soon after Apple released iOS 7. Facebook’s new app brought the design in line with that of iOS 7 and also brought a couple of new features. One of those features was the ability to edit posts from the app itself, and even view all of the changes that had been made to a particular post. Back then, the iPad app wasn’t updated.
Facebook has said that its not going to update the user interface of the iPad app for now, so the tablet app’s design isn’t going to be consistent with that of iOS 7. Nevertheless, the company has decided to bring a feature it had introduced in the iPhone app last month, that’s the ability to edit posts. Facebook users who access the network through the iPad app can now edit any post and also tap to view all changes made to that particular post. Apart from the new feature, the update also comes with bug fixes, performance improvements and new languages for icons.
The Facebook for iPad app is available as a free download from the Apple Store.
